Past President Sharon Alt flew in from New Orleans to host a \”daytime talk show\” for FWAHU on Thursday, January 12th. She interviewed guests on a wide range of topics, including upcoming FWAHU meetings, new technology and new education opportunities for the new year, legislation, and some fresh business ideas. FWAHU also unveiled its new smart phone app, designed by Mama Frog Apps – something that\’s sure to gain attention nationwide. But the highlight of the show was Sharon\’s interview with Misty Baker. Nearly 50 people attended Eric Johnson\’s two-hour \”Finally, a FUN Ethics Class!\” CE on Thursday, January 12th. They covered topics such as health reform, lobbying, agent of record letters, and disclosing commissions. Tiffany Kaiser and Audra Sullivan served as the group\’s moral guides as attendees tackled difficult ethical questions that agents face on a daily basis.

February 9: Dental & Vision – Breakfast Meeting

Please join FWAHU for a special breakfast meeting on Thursday, February 9th. The day will begin at 8:30am with a legislative update from members who attended NAHU\’s Cap Conference and the TAHU Legislative Day. After that, Lisa White with VSP will be provide a 30 minute presentation on vision coverage followed by a one-hour CE on dental coverage (pending approval) from Tiffany Kaiser with Ameritas Group. We\’ll also have an opportunity to meet several other dental & vision carrier reps and visit with them during our exhibitor time.
