FWAHU’s Annual Vendor Day was held on October 14th from 10am-3pm at Rolling Hills Country Club. The 4th quarter is a busy time for agents and it can be difficult to meet with all your carrier reps to get the most up-to-date information available.
As SIX tornadoes touched down, dedicated AHU members from all over the state swam into FWAHU\’s 3rd annual Medicare Day–with over 140 participants. Topics and 5 hours of CE ranged from Medicare changes, health care reform, and alternative income sources not affected by reform.

Our luncheon program for September featured the TAHU ‘Day at the Capitol in a Box’ presentation. Our TAHU Lobbyist, Lee Manross, along with TAHU Treasurer Misty Baker, presented three programs designed to help us all with the important task of working with our own state legislators to help shape the debate on health care issues.

At our August luncheon, former FWAHU president Mike Smith discussed the future of Long Term Care Insurance. The ‘Baby Boomer’ generation is beginning to turn 65 and as those numbers of seniors increase, LTC will become an increasingly important benefit. It is extremely important to have a working knowledge of both the group and individual product.
