In September 2014, FWAHU hosted the NAHU Self-Funded Certification Course presented by Robin Frick, Account Executive for Global Insurance Group, Inc.  Following the course, FWAHU put the Self-Funding course attendees to the test and hosted our monthly membership meeting with Self-Funded Jeopardy presented by Michael McKnight who joined by three very eccentric contestants.

\”The Sharon Show\” a HUGE Success

Past President Sharon Alt flew in from New Orleans to host a \”daytime talk show\” for FWAHU on Thursday, January 12th. She interviewed guests on a wide range of topics, including upcoming FWAHU meetings, new technology and new education opportunities for the new year, legislation, and some fresh business ideas. FWAHU also unveiled its new smart phone app, designed by Mama Frog Apps – something that\’s sure to gain attention nationwide. But the highlight of the show was Sharon\’s interview with Misty Baker. After stepping down as TAHU President-Elect a few months ago, Misty finally got to tell her side of the story. We\’re pleased to report that Misty is happier and healthier in the new year and may have a big announcement soon. Stay tuned…

Who Says Ethics Has to be Boring?

Nearly 50 people attended Eric Johnson\’s two-hour \”Finally, a FUN Ethics Class!\” CE on Thursday, January 12th. They covered topics such as health reform, lobbying, agent of record letters, and disclosing commissions. Tiffany Kaiser and Audra Sullivan served as the group\’s moral guides as attendees tackled difficult ethical questions that agents face on a daily basis.
