In December 2014, mindful of how busy everyone is during 4th quarter and Open Enrollment, FWAHU decided to forgo our monthly membership meeting and host a holiday happy hour at Champps in Las Colinas.  Attendees joined in for some fun, food, and libations!

In November 2014, FWAHU hosted the continuing education course “ACA – Not as Ugly as Your Christmas Sweater” presented by FWAHU’s own Audra Sullivan and Krista Palmer.  Attendees learned about the initial passed legislation, what changes have been made to the form the current law as it stands today, and what the future might hold.

In September 2014, FWAHU hosted the NAHU Self-Funded Certification Course presented by Robin Frick, Account Executive for Global Insurance Group, Inc.  Following the course, FWAHU put the Self-Funding course attendees to the test and hosted our monthly membership meeting with Self-Funded Jeopardy presented by Michael McKnight who joined by three very eccentric contestants.

In August 2014, FWAHU hosted our annual Individual and Senior Sales Symposium with a focus on Kicking-Off the year right with sales and football.  Attendees donned their favorite team colors and learned about the ins and outs of the Individual and Senior sales markets while earning 5-hours of CE including 2-hours of the always needed ethics!

FWAHU was busy in July 2014!  The association hosted both the Small Group Specialist 8-hour Certification; as well as, the Small Group Specialist 5-hour Recertification.  Intermission for the course was a monthly membership meeting which included a fun networking game to get to know current and new members along with any guests!

Last month we had our final 2013-2014 Member Luncheon, CE, and Board Meeting under the VERY GOOD HANDS of Beth Christensen!
