Tony Dillard was working for Sparklett’s Drinking Water in 1996 as new account sales representative. During a routine sales call in the downtown area of Wichita Falls he was asked if he wanted to interview for a sales position while he was there. The office seemed nice (and cool), the new customer was nice and it was close to 100 degrees outside. Tony said yes and after the interview he was offered a job on the spot as a captive long-term care insurance specialist.
Tony’s first client was his grandmother in Nocona, Texas. Furthermore, his grandmother was his first claim paid. Seven years after she purchased the policy she filed claim, was approved for benefits and moved into one of the nicest assisted living facilities in N. Texas. He was also a caregiver for his father who had early onset dementia and worked as a home health care companion while attending college at Midwestern State University.
Tony worked as a captive and as an independent agent from ‘96 to ‘98 then moved to DFW and work for a national long-term care marketing firm. He was later offered a position with America’s Long-Term Care Insurance Experts as their Chief Marketing Officer.
His ambition to work at the carrier level started blossoming in 2007 and in 2009 he was offered a position at the Transamerica Long Term Care Insurance office in Bedford, TX as the western Regional Vice President of Sales and is happier than ever with his job.
Tony lives in Keller with his wife Michelle and his children Seth and Abby. They enjoy family outings and Texas Rangers baseball. They (Tony and Michelle) also never miss an episode of The Young and the Restless thanks to their DVR.
Welcome Tony – to FWAHU! Our chapter is anxious to get to know you!
