In September, FWAHU held a friendly competition with DAHU on the American Heart Association2008 Heart Walk. DAHU barely edged us on total contributions, but our brave participants weathered the rain and wind from Hurricane Ike to raise approximately $1400 combined for the American Heart Association!

At our August luncheon, former FWAHU president Mike Smith discussed the future of Long Term Care Insurance. The ‘Baby Boomer’ generation is beginning to turn 65 and as those numbers of seniors increase, LTC will become an increasingly important benefit. It is extremely important to have a working knowledge of both the group and individual product.
